Okoboji’s Ray Zalabowski was named to the Iowa High School Baseball Coaches Association All-District team in Class 2A. The senior was honored as a pitcher on the Northwest District First Team after going 4-4 with three saves this season. Zalabowski, who is headed to Des Moines Area Community College next school year to play baseball, had a 1.14 ERA with 106 strikeouts and 18 walks.
A trio of Spencer players earned IHSBCA All-District honors in Class 3A. Senior Josh Bubke was named to the West District’s First Team after hitting .416 this season. Juniors Tyler Greenough and Dillon Schulz both found themselves on the West District’s Second Team. Greenough, a catcher, hit .356, while Schultz batted .349.
