Women’s NCAA Selections

Iowa’s strong finish has earned it a Number 8 seed in the NCAA women’s tournament this year. The Hawkeyes will face ninth-seeded Rutgers in California on Saturday night for the chance to play the winner of the Stanford-UC Riverside game.

The Iowa State women’s basketball team has been named a Number 4 seed in the NCAA tournament. The Cyclones are 23-7 and will host 13th-seeded Lehigh on Sunday. The winner will face either Virginia or Wisconsin-Green Bay next week.

Northern Iowa gets a ticket to the NCAA women’s tournament after taking the Missouri Valley Conference title, but winning in the first round won’t be easy. The Panthers are 17-15 and play Sunday against top-seeded Nebraska, which has only one loss.
