A tight game turned into a lopsided Cornbelt Conference win for the Harris-Lake Park girls basketball team. Leading by just seven through three quarters, the Lady Wolves outscored Ruthven-Ayrshire 22-6 to earn a 62-39 win over the Raiders. Four players reached double-figures for HLP, led by Lydia Brandt’s 19. The sophomore made ten field goals from the floor. Senior Anna Brandt pitched in with 16 points. Mariah Gath dropped in four three-pointers on her way to 14 points and freshman Macy Gunderson scored a season-high eleven. Sadie Forey paced the Raiders with 20 points, hitting three shots from deep. HLP, which is now 2-0 in the conference and 2-2 overall, plays Armstrong-Ringsted on Tuesday.
