Wolves Narrowly Miss Title at Own Invite (Volleyball)

Harris-Lake Park hosted a girls high school volleyball tournament over the weekend, and came away with a very close runner-up finish. The Wolves and Ellsworth (MN) both finished 3-1 on the day; however, HLP lost the head-to-head 21-16, 21-16. Harris-Lake Park also notched wins over Mountain Lake Christian (MN), 21-7, 21-10, Trinity Christian, 21-12, 21-17, and Round Lake-Brewster (MN), 19-21, 21-14, 15-5, improving their overall record to 23-8. Lydia Brandt tallied a team-high 27 kills on the day. Noreen Morrow had 16 kills, while Leah Duitsman registered a dozen kills and aces. Macy Gunderson finished with 35 set assists and Sam Brueggeman reached 22 digs. HLP wraps up their regular season Tuesday night at Ruthven-Ayrshire, a game we’ll broadcast live on Q102 and at ExploreOkoboji.com. A win over the Raiders would match the single season school record for match victories at Harris-Lake Park.
