Wolves Finally Play Ball, Finish Two Runs Short (Baseball RoundUp)

Harris-Lake
Park was finally able to
complete a baseball game Friday when they took on George-Little Rock in a
non-conference game. The Wolves eventually lost by a 4-2 final. Eli Ihnen
allowed the four runs in the first four innings in taking the loss. Colin Brons
collected a hit, three walks, and two stolen bases en route to scoring both
runs. Nathan Kyle was responsible for one RBI with a double. HLP is 0-1 on the
year and hosts Okoboji on Tuesday.

North Union picked up a
non-conference win, defeated West Fork, 4-2. Spencer’s ballgame at MOC-Floyd Valley was postponed to a later date not
yet determined due to weather.

Weather also impacted the Minnesota state baseball playoffs. Martin
County West’s first round game against LCWM in the Section 2A bracket was
postponed for a second straight night. They will try again Saturday in
Sherburn.
