Volleyball teams from northwest Iowa and southwest Minnesota competed Saturday at the Harris-Lake Park Invitational, and in the end, the hometown Wolves wound up second in the six team tournament. HLP finished with a record of 4-1, trailing undefeated Trinity Christian (5-0) from Hull. Ellsworth (3-2) took third, Round Lake-Brewster (2-3) fourth, Siouxland Community Christian (1-4) finished fifth, and Mountain Lake Christian (0-5) was sixth. Harris-Lake Park suffered their lone loss to Trinity Christian in three, close sets, falling 18-21, 21-15, and 17-19. Their four wins came against Mountain Lake Christian (21-7, 21-11), Siouxland Comm. Christian (21-11, 23-21), Ellsworth (21-19, 21-16), and Round Lake-Brewster (21-17, 17-21, 15-10). For the day, Leah Duitsman had a team-high 30 kills and 43 digs. Noreen Morrow was right behind with 29 kills and a team-best 13 aces. Macy Gunderson collected 80 set assists. The Wolves are 17-15 overall this season and wrap up the regular season Tuesday against Ruthven-Ayrshire.
