The Okoboji Pioneers dropped three straight games to Sheldon in Siouxland Conference play Thursday, 25-10, 25-12, 25-10. Paisley Jones led the attack with four kills. Aubry Kolegraff had eight assists, while Mary Eckard and Brianna Wittrock each had five digs.
Harris-Lake Park netted two more Cornbelt Conference wins, beating Ventura in four games, 20-25, 25-8, 25-23, 25-22, and following it up with a sweep of Armstrong-Ringsted, 25-5, 25-11, 25-11. Lydia Brandt recorded 17 kills, 25 assists, and eleven digs. Noreen Morrow had 15 kills. Leah Duitsman notched 14 digs, eight kills, six aces, and four blocks, while Macy Gunderson had 25 assists, Mariah Gath 15 digs, and Sam Brueggeman finished with 41 digs and four aces. The Lady Wolves are now 19-7 overall and 7-1 in league play.
Also in the Cornbelt, Graettinger-Terril took down Twin River Valley, 25-17, 31-29, 20-25, 27-25, and then swept Corwith-Wesley-Luverne, 25-19, 25-17, 25-17. Nikki Brown tallied 24 kills, eleven digs, seven aces, and four blocks. Lindsay Flaharty had 26 assists, to go along with twelve digs. Morgan Mortensen finished with 14 kills and five aces, and Ashley Rehm had ten kills.
North of the border, Jackson County Central defeated Worthington, 25-12, 25-16, 25-23, Fairmont fell to Minnesota Valley Lutheran, 25-22, 25-18, 15-25, 25-12, Martin County West swept Maple River, 25-10, 25-12, 25-17, and Round Lake-Brewster took a loss against SW Star Concept, 25-21, 24-26, 25-9, 25-13.
