Estherville-Lincoln
Central hosted a volleyball tournament, Saturday, where they took second place
after they got two-set wins over Graettinger-Terril-Ruthven-Ayrshire, Sioux
City West, and Harris-Lake
Park.
Humboldt
placed first, as they topped both Estherville-Lincoln Central and Emmtsburg in
two sets apiece.
Harris-Lake Park
placed fourth as they beat Emmetsburg, in three sets, and then beat Humboldt
and Storm Lake, in two sets. The Wolves fell to Laurens Marathon in two
sets.
Macy
Gunderson had 72 assists, for the Lady Wolves, Grace Winter had seven ace
serves. Noreen Morrow and Miranda
Bruggeman registered 37 and 31 kills, respectively. Bruggeman also had 44 digs, Grace Heikens came
up with 31 digs.
Laurens
Marathon also topped Estherville-Lincoln Central in three sets, and Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire
in two sets.
The
Spencer Volleyball team was in a separate tournament, Saturday in Urbandale,
where they fell to both Marshalltown and Cedar Falls, in two sets
apiece.
