Two rare opportunities are ahead for Iowa Lakes area youth to work with the best in the sport of wrestling. On Friday, August 6, the It’s All About the Gold Wrestling Camp will be held at the Spirit Lake Park wrestling room. Featured clinician is 2010 Freshman All-American Tyler Graff from the University of Wisconsin. There will be two sessions from 9am-11:30am and from 1pm-3:30pm. Cost for the camp is $40 when you pre-register or $50 at the door. Forms can be picked up and dropped off in the Spirit Lake High School Office.
The following day, the 2010 Iowa Great Lakes Wrestling Camp presents two-time NCAA National Champion, former three-time Big Ten Wrestler of the Year, and recent inductee into the Iowa Wrestling Hall of Fame, Mark Ironside. Come to Okoboji High School on Saturday, August 7, as Ironside will be holding a clinic on the front headlock series and scoring bonus points. You will learn how to be a better wrestler and more effective point scorer. The camp runs from 9am-4pm for wrestlers ages 13-21. Cost is $40 for pre-registered attendees or $50 at the door.
