Three Okoboji baseball players received postseason
recognition Tuesday, as the Siouxland Conference unveiled its 2012
all-conference teams. Senior Zach Jones, who led the Pioneers on the hill with
a 2.80 ERA and 91 strikeouts, earned first-team honors. Fellow senior Alex
Koepp, the team leader in batting average, runs scored, and runs driven in,
made the second-team all-conference squad. And a third senior, James Halbur,
was given honorable mention accolades. Sibley-Ocheyedan senior Ethan Stofferan
was also on the first team, while junior Tyler O’Connor was an honorable
mention selection.
