The Spirit Lake Indians improved to 7-1, Friday night, with
a 49-0 win over South Central Calhoun, in Lake City.
The Indians scored early and often, in the first quarter, as
quarterback Paul Brown connected on two touchdown passes, of 7 and 31 yards,
with wide out Casey Spaeth; and running back Cody Poock scored on touchdown
runs of 46 and 41 yards; all in the first nine minutes of the game.
Bryson MCabe also scored in the first quarter, as he
returned a punt 60 yards for a touchdown.
The Indians led 35-0 after one quarter of play.
McCabe scored another touchdown in the second quarter on a
two-yard touchdown run, as Spirit Lake took a 42-0 lead into the halftime
break.

Lake wraps up its regular
season, next Friday, at home against Estherville-Lincoln Central.
