* Spirit Lake picked up a 47-37 win over Hull Western Christian on Tuesday night.
* The Indians’ loner lone loss this year was to Lakes Conference leader Storm Lake, which moved to 6-0 in conference play with a win over Emmetsburg.
* Spirit Lake (5-1, Lakes Conference), after three straight on the road, will play its next three at home, starting with a non-conference contest against Worthington on Thursday before taking on Estherville Lincoln Central Friday.
BOYS
The Spirit Lake Indians, looking for their first conference win, ran into the buzzsaw that are the 2A #3 Hull Western Christian Wolfpack. Drew Dau and Mitch Peschon each scored 11 but 23 Indian turnovers led to an 89-44 victory for HWC. The Wolfpack lead the Lakes conference at 5-0. Spirit Lake (0-5, Lakes Conference) returns home Friday against Estherville Lincoln Central.
