The Spirit Lake softball team improved to 3-1 after topping Cherokee Wednesday night 13-1. Bailee Newman threw a 1 hitter for Spirit Lake, striking out 5 and giving up just the one earned run. 7 different Indians would pick up at least one hit in the game, and 5 had had least 2. Bailee Newman and Kelsey Delperdang each hit a homerun. Spirit Lake plays at a tournament in Sheldon on Friday.
