This week’s Central Bank and Insurance Athlete of the Week
is Doug Miner, a senior on the Spirit Lake Park Wrestling team. He captured the third state championship of
his high school career, on Saturday, February 16th, when he won a
1-0 decision over Shadow Leshen, of Albion,
in the Class 2A 120 pound title match. Here’s

That’s Miner, who became the 79th
wrestler in Iowa
history to be a State Champion three times in his high school career. He went 162-12 during his time at Spirit Lake.
