The Emmetsburg wrestling team hosted a double-dual, last night, against Storm Lake and Spirit Lake Park. The E-Hawks beat Storm Lake 58-21, and topped Spirit Lake Park, 53-30.
Emmetsburg is now 4 – 1 in the Lakes Conference. Spirit Lake Park is 5 – 1. The Indians beat Storm Lake, 54-29.
Zach Skopec had two pins for Spirit Lake Park, at 138 pounds, last night. The first one against Storm Lake was in 32 seconds and the second one against Emmetsburg was in 23 seconds
Spirit Lake Park’s Kenten Murray also registered two pins at 145 pounds. The first one against Storm Lake was in 1 min 3 seconds and the 2nd against Emmetsburgburg was in 1 min 8 seconds.
At 152, David Trucksess won two matches by pinfall. Indian team members got six pins in the win over Storm Lake.
Spirit Lake Park hosts a tournament, this evening at 5, featuring Sioux Central, West Lyon Community, MOC-Floyd Valley and Adrian.
Emmetsburg will be at the Forest City Tournament on Saturday

Spencer beat Estherville 57 – 20, and Cherokee 59 – 18. In the other match Estherville beat Cherokee 40 – 39. With the 2 wins last night Spencer wrestling leads the lakes conference with a 6 – 0 record.
Spencer will be at the Ames tournament on Saturday, and Estherville will go to the GT/RA tournament
