Spirit Lake Park’s wrestling team was in action on Saturday, grabbing a 2nd-place finish in the West Sioux Invitational Tournament with Sheldon/South O’Brien taking the title. Mark Norland picked up the championship in the 135 lb. class, taking the weekend’s outstanding wrestler award, while Dylan Bryce (125), Rick Maris (140), Rick Wilson (171), and heavyweight Shea Heinrichs all notched 2nd-place finishes. Spirit Lake Park (4-0 Lakes Conference) will defend its home turf on Tuesday in a conference triangular hosting Storm Lake and 2A-#8 Emmetsburg.
