Sawyer Harms powered his way to 15 points, a dozen of which came in the paint, as he led Spirit Lake to a 46-38 victory over Lakes Conference-rival Estherville-Lincoln Central on Friday night. Mitch Peschon also reached double-digits with twelve. The Midgets were paced by Tyler Lutz’s thirteen points, as they fall to 0-12 in league play. The Indians are now 7-12 overall and 5-8 in the Lakes.
The rough February continued last night for the Emmetsburg E-Hawks, falling for the fourth consecutive game, 84-58 at Western Christian. Cory Schultes paced Emmetsburg with 17 points. The E-Hawks are 8-5 in the league.
Okoboji struggled to keep pace with the Comets of Boyden-Hull in taking a 67-37 setback last night in Siouxland Conference play. Brian Dubois dropped in thirteen points and Dalton Syverson had eleven. The Pioneers fall to 1-18 on the year and 0-15 in the conference.
Harris-Lake Park continues to close in on a Cornbelt Conference crown, with the latest step being a 65-33 win over Ventura. Brady Nissen finished with 18 points and Eli Ihnen had a dozen. The Wolves improve to 9-0 in the league and 17-3 overall. They will host Clay Central Everly tonight on Q102.
Graettinger-Terril notched their fifth conference win, defeating Twin River Valley 52-39. Beau Craig registered 16 points and Colin Leiting contributed 14 points.
