One of the state’s top Class 3A girls basketball teams ended Spirit Lake’s season Saturday night in the second round of the regionals, as MOC-Floyd Valley defeated the Indians 64-30. Spirit Lake received 14 points from sophomore KJ Veldman and ended their season 15-7 overall. The Dutch, who were led by Kara Nonnemacher’s 22 points, advance to the regional finals. They will take on Bishop Heelan, who took down Algona, 71-66 in overtime.
