The Spirit Lake Girls and Boys each got wins in their respective home openers against Hinton Community.
The Lady Indians got 26 points from senior KJ Veldman, on their way to a 59-45 win over the Lady Blackhawks.

The Spirit Lake Boys beat Hinton, 19 points and 13 points, respectively, from a pair of sophomores, Alec Henrickson and Alex Pringnitz.
The Indians will be on the road against Valley Lutheran, on Saturday. Both the boys and girls teams return home, next Tuesday, against LeMars, for ‘Pack the Gym Night’ at Spirit Lake High School.
