Spirit Lake softball flexed some offensive muscle with a 15-5 win at Sioux Central. Brianna Brunsvold and Caila Jones led the way with three hits apiece, while six other had two base knocks. Cara Vale grabbed the win as the Indians go to 9-4.
Graettinger-Terril rallied from behind to steal a win over Okoboji 3-2. Alyssa Hoffman earned the win allowing just one earned run on three hits. Okoboji’s Keely Bracelin suffers the loss despite six strikeouts. Graettinger-Terril is now 3-2 on the season, while Okoboji falls to 7-6 overall.
The Lady Wolves of Harris-Lake Park ran into the sixth-ranked North Sentral Kossuth Eagles for a doubleheader Tuesday night. NSK would complete a sweep with a pair of four inning wins, first by a 15-0 final in game one, then 12-0 in the nightcap. HLP remains winless on the season.
Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn reached 6-2 on the season with a 6-1 defeat of Remsen Union in a battle within the War Eagle Conference.
