Spirit Lake baseball falls to Cherokee

In baseball, Spirit Lake fell to 3-2 Wednesday night after dropping a 7-6 decision to Cherokee at home. The Indians took a 6-4 lead into the top of the 7th, but would give up 3 as the Braves sent 9 batters to the plate that inning. Cherokee improves to 2-4. Tony Eckert went 2-4 for Spirit Lake. Tony also got the start, striking out 8 in the no decision. Next up for the Indians is a tournament in Sheldon on Saturday.
