The Spencer Wrestling team placed first, out of ten teams,
in Saturday’s Okoboji Invitational, with a team total of 242 points. Spirit
Lake Park
took second with 165, Okoboji was third with 133, and Sibley Ocheydan took
fourth with 131.5.
Spirit Lake’s Doug Miner, Zach Skopec, and David Trucksess all
registered first place finishes in their respective weight classes.
The Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire teams placed
eighth. Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn took
ninth.
The Estherville-Lincoln Central wrestling team was beaten
by Norwalk, Greene County,
and South Central Calhoun, in three duals on Saturday.
The Jackson County Central wrestlers took second in the
Dick Maher Invitational, Saturday, in Blue Earth.
