Brooks National Golf Club hosted it’s annual high school boys golf tournament this past weekend, and the Spencer Tigers and Harris-Lake Park Wolves took the titles in their respective divisions. Spencer was the champion of the A Division with a 315 team total. Spirit Lake finished second at 328, followed by Emmetsburg (331), Estherville-Lincoln Central (350), LeMars (351), and Okoboji (367). The Tigers Jay Monahan was the meet medalist with a 75, while ELC’s Max Brashear was a stroke back at 76. The Indians top performer was Matt Weeks with a 78, the Pioneers were paced by Tyler Ohl’s 84, and the E-Hawks recieved a 79 from Art Heidt.
The B Division was taken by Harris-Lake Park with a team score of 366. Martin County West (MN) finished second (385), followed by NSK/A-R (408) and Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (418). Cordell Weber of MCW was the medalist at 76, with Blaze Alesch of GT/RA runner-up at 83. HLP received an 86 from Nathan Kyle.
