South O’Brien Knocks Off Okoboji In V-Ball Regionals

The season came to an end, last night, for the Okoboji High School volley ball team, as they
were beaten, in four sets, by South O’Brien, in Round One of Class 2A
Regionals.

 

Eric Thompson says it’s tough to say goodbye to the seniors

 

That’s Lady Pioneers’ coach Eric Thompson, whose team will
lose seniors Sydney Boeckholt, Skylar Hansen, and Hailee Watkins.

 

South O’Brien will play, on the road, against
Sibley-Ocheydan, in round two, next Tuesday.

 

Elsewhere, Emmetsburg beat Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn, 3-2,
behind 13 kills from Ashton Connelly and 11 from Whitney Kibbie.  The Lady E-Hawks will be at Boyden Hull, next
Tuesday.

 

HMS finishes the season at 6 – 18.  They were led last
night by Kendra Zeutenhorst with 20 Kills and Katie Mills with 12 Kills and 16
Digs.
