Soper Steps Down at ILCC, Son Takes Over

An era is coming to an end at Iowa Lakes Community College, sort of. Longtime head golf coach Dan Soper is stepping down after 14 seasons at the helm. He has led both the men’s and women’s teams to regional championships and national championship appearances, while also having nearly 40 individual golfers qualify as well. He will turns the reigns of the program over to his son, Andy, who was an assistant this past season, his first with ILCC. Andy played for his father at Iowa Lakes, and has the Lakers second best round in program history with a 69.
