The Spirit Lake Park wrestling team bumped it perfect dual record to 8-0 on Monday night with a pair of non-conference victories in Sioux Center. The Indians defeated Graettinger-Terril 54-24 before taking down the host Warriors 46-27. Doug Miner (103), Zach Skopec (112), Kenton Murray (119), Isaac Lundgren (130), Rick Maris (152), Casey Jones (160), and Nathan Kyle (Hwt) all recorded two wins on the evening. SLP notched seven match wins by fall. Up next for Spirit Lake Park is a trip to Storm Lake on Thursday for a triangular with the Tornadoes and Emmetsburg.
In high school basketball, Sioux Central handled its business in a doubleheader sweep of Hartley-Melvin-Sanborn. In the boys game, HMS fell 56-51, while the girls dropped a 65-33 decision. The Hawks return to the court tonight in Hinton.
