The Spirit Lake Park-Okoboji boys soccer team competed in the state’s largest soccer tournament this past weekend in Waverly. The event featured a number of Iowa’s top-ranked teams and SLP-O finished second overall with a 2-1 record. In the opening round, the Indians defeated third-ranked Glenwood, 4-0. Zubeen Azari notched three goals in the win. Next up was a win over #14 Waverly-Shell Rock by a 3-0 final. Azari again had multiple goals with two and Kade Heikens also found the back of the net. In its final game, SLP-O lost 2-1 to second-ranked Decorah. Heikens registered the lone goal.
