In one final preparation before this weekend’s wrestling sectionals, Spirit Lake Park hosted non-conference foe Clear Lake for a dual Tuesday night. However, the seventh-ranked Indians would fall, 46-30, to the Lions. Match victories went to Kenton Murray (132), Rick Maris (160), and Cody Norton (285), all by pin fall. SLP also received two wins by forfeit. The Indians will compete Saturday in the Class 2A sectionals at Rock Valley. Coverage of the days proceedings can be found on Q102 starting at noon.
On the mats up in Minnesota, top-ranked Jackson County Central rolled over Windom/Mountain Lake-Butterfield-Odin by a 50-12 margin. And at the Luverne triangular, Fairmont/Martin County West defeated the hosts, 51-27, but fell 63-18 to Adrian.
