The Spirit Lake Park boys track and field team competed on Saturday at the University of Minnesota Indoor Championships, finishing sixth out of 16 teams. Kevin Martinson, Aric Waltz, Luke Kabele, and Kayne Feldick set a new indoor school record in the 4×400 relay with a time of 3:29.97. That shattered the previous mark by nearly five seconds.
SLP also tallied two second place finishes, with Will Norris running the 3200-meters in 9:50.69 and the Sprint Medley team of Kabele, Bryson McCabe, Waltz, and Feldick, crossing the finish line in 3:42.72.
