SL-O Takes Two From Cherokee (Tennis RoundUp)

It was a relatively easy night on the courts for the Spirit Lake-Okoboji tennis teams. The boys dominated visiting Cherokee, 8-1, at Speier Park. SL-O won all six singles matches, which included wins by Brandon Stoll (10-4), Wes Bergquist (10-3), Trystan Wiedow (10-1), Andrew Ites (10-5), Jackson Walsh (10-5), and Izaak Plunkett (10-7). On the doubles side, the duo of Stoll and Bergquist (10-0), along with Ites and Plunkett (10-7), each picked up another win.

The girls of Spirit Lake-Okoboji earned a 7-2 road win over the Braves. KJ Veldman (10-2), Hannah Coenen (10-1), Rachel Westergard (10-4), Olivia Rohlk (10-3), and Amanda Bueltel (10-8) all picked up victories in singles play. Veldman and Rohlk (10-1) then notched a doubles win, as did Margaret and Natalie Delaney (10-1).
