The Spirit Lake-Okoboji boys hosted the Lakes Conference
meet Wednesday, however, SL-O was unable to put together enough wins to earn
the overall title after a very competitive day. Their thirteen points trailed
league champion, Spencer, by two (15), with Storm Lake
in between with fourteen points. SL-O made their hay in the doubles events, as Brandon
Stoll and Wes Bergquist finished off an undefeated day at No. 1 doubles to win the
league title. Andrew Ites and Izaak Plunkett also finished atop their bracket,
going 4-1 in the No. 2 doubles. At No. 1 singles, Trystan Wiedow took fourth
overall, while Connor Rowley earned fifth place in the No. 2 singles division.
