Spirit Lake-Okoboji girls tennis has qualified for the first round of the state tournament as a team following an impressive 5-0 win over Denison-Schleswig at Saturday’s regional final. Alli Gerking (6-4, 6-3), Aubrey Kolegraff (6-4, 6-2), KJ Veldman (6-1, 6-0), Hannah Coenen (7-6 (5), 6-1), and Rachel Westergard (6-2, 6-0) all took care of business in a clean sweep of the singles matches. SL-O remains undefeated in dual competition for the season and will take on Red Oak this afternoon (Monday) in Storm Lake at 3:00pm. The winner will advance to the state semifinals in Waterloo on June 4.
