Spirit Lake-Okoboji tennis reached a new milestone Tuesday night. The girls team, with a 9-0 shutout of Cherokee, won their 50th consecutive dual match in Lakes Conference play, a streak that began five years ago. The sweep over the Braves included singles victories from KJ Veldman (10-2), Hannah Coenen (10-1), Rachel Westegard (10-5), Margaret Delaney (10-3), Olivia Rohlk (10-5), and Amanda Bueltel (10-6). On the doubles side, Coenen/Westegard (10-2), Veldman/Rohlk (10-1), and Delaney/Natalie Delaney (10-3) each won handily. SL-O boasts a 7-0 record in the conference.

The boys of Spirit Lake-Okoboji also remained perfect in Lakes Conference play, defeating Cherokee, 7-2. Brandon Stoll (6-4, 6-2), Wes Bergquist (6-1, 6-2), Connor Rowley (6-3, 6-3), Andrew Ites (7-5, 6-2), and Jackson Walsh (6-1, 6-2) picked up singles victories, while Stoll/Bergquist (10-8) and Ites/Izaak Plunkett (10-8) were the doubles winners for SL-O. The match victory improves their record to 7-0 in league play.
