The hometown Tigers won the overall team competition of the Spencer Relays for girls track Friday. Spencer totaled 129 points, while Spirit Lake Park finished in second with 111 points. Storm Lake took third, Emmetsburg fourth, Estherville Lincoln Central fifth, while Okoboji had a sixth place finish. The Indians had two first place finishes from senior Megan Lawler in the 100 (12.56) and 200 (26.42) meter dashes. Molly Hutchins also came out on top in the shot put (34′-9″), as did the Sprint Medley Relay of Lindsey Arneson, Alex Horsman, Caila Jones, and Lawler (1:58.77). The boys took part in the Estherville Lincoln Central relays, and finished in third with 101 points. Spencer came in fifth place, Emmetsburg sixth, ELC seventh and Okoboji eighth. Kyle Heidebrink won the 400 hurdles (57.54) and Alec Baldwin the 1600 meters (4:35.28) to pace the Indians. The SLP girls and boys are both participating in the Sioux City Relays Saturday.
