Scores Improving at NJCAA Women’s National Golf Tournament

The 3rd round of the NJCAA Women’s National Golf Tournament was played the the LPGA International Legends course in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Wednesday. With another day of sunny skies and virtually no wind, Iowa Lakes sophomore Macy Milburn seemed to take advantage of an early tee time. Milburn carded a 90 for the third round, three strokes better than her second round total. For fellow sophomore Meaghan Schmidt, it seemed to go the other way, shooting a 105 for her 3rd round of the tournament.

Thursday will be both women’s last round of the tournament, as well as in an Iowa Lakes Lakers uniform. For the tournament, Milburn is in a tie for 66th place with a total of 285. Schmidt is in a tie for 93rd place with a total of 308.
Daytona State College is in the lead after three rounds with a total of 898 (295-302-301). Daytona State has the three low individuals, too.

Final round will start at 6:40am, with Milburn going off of #10 at 6:50am and Schmidt going off at 7:00am.
