More than 600 athletes on 36 teams participated in the 34th Annual University of Okoboji Youth Soccer Classic this weekend. The Boys Under 15 title went to the St. Roberts Cardinals of Omaha, with a 3-0 win over the St. Pius/St. Leo Bombers. Holy Cross United of Omaha defeated the St. James/Elizabeth Ann Hornets 2-1 to take the Girls Under 15 crown. In the Under 12 category, it was the St. Pius/St. Leo Thunder of Omaha with a 6-4 win over the St. Cecilia’s Cathedral Gladiators on the boys side, while the St. Pius/St. Leo Comets of Omaha notched a 3-1 final over the St. Cecilia’s Cathedral Cardinals for the girls title. The matches were held on the five fields at the Okoboji school.
