Results From 28th Annual Great Walleye Weekend (Corrected/Updated 11:00am)

More than 1400 anglers took to the Iowa Great Lakes for this weekend’s 28th Annual Great Walleye Weekend. The top catches for the event belonged to Tom Bjornstad of Okoboji with the heaviest Walleye, Shannon Green of Spencer with the heaviest stringer of Walleye, Don Stangeland of Stanhope, Iowa for the heaviest Northern Pike, Mike Watson from Spirit Lake had the heaviest stringer of Panfish, Spencer’s Patrick White reeled in the heaviest stringer of Bullheads, and Neil Daniels of Fort Dodge pulled in the heaviest Bass. None of the tagged fish were caught for the cash prize, and all proceeds benefited the Iowa Easter Seals.

2nd Place: Jeff Langel, Arnold’s Park (5.0 lbs/25.5″)
3rd Place: Cody Solsman, Orange City (4.32 lbs/24″)
