The final three weeks of the regular racing season for
2012 got off to a start Saturday with the Third Annual Loren Woodke Memorial at the Jackson Speedway in
Feature victories went to Aaron Betz in the Sport Compacts and Justin Nehring in the Hobby Stocks. Winning the Sport Modified feature was Ben Chukuske, while Casey Friedrichsen won the 305 Sprint feature. The Stock Car feature checkers went to Luke Sathoff and winning the 360 Championship sprint feature was Nate Eakin.
Heat race wins went to Aaron Betz and Megan Lappegard in the Sport Compacts; Justin Nehring and Drew Bargloff in the Hobby Stocks; Nathan Chukuske, Chad Krug and Ben Chukuske in the Sport Modifieds and Casey Friedrichsen in the 305 Sprints; Trent Schroeder and Jeffrey Larson in the Stock Cars and Brooke Tatnell and Nate Eakin.
The season continues on Saturday night, August 25, with the annual Bicycle Night Giveaway for the kids, held in conjunction with the races. So far, 150 bicycles have been donated to be given away to children attending the night’s races. Action in all six classes will get underway with hot laps starting at 6:30 p.m. with racing to follow.
