The Okoboji Pioneers came away with a 3rd place overall finish behind Sheldon/South O’Brien and host Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley on Saturday at the NightHawk Invitational. Zach Jones won all three of his matches at 160 lbs., as did Doug Schwaller at 215 lbs. Jones is 21-3 on the year while Schwaller is 18-4. The heavyweight Schwaller in Dustin picked up two falls in his first two matches but dropped a very tough 5-3 overtime decision to Joe Feekes of Sheldon/South O’Brien. The loss was just Schwaller’s 2nd of the season. The Pioneers head to Sibley Ocheyedan on Thursday.
