Pioneers Lose Early Momentum and Game

The size of Central Lyon’s boys basketball team caused numerous problems for Okoboji on Thursday night, as the Pioneers fell 61-31 in a lopsided Siouxland Conference battle. Six-foot-seven junior Ross Ackerman led all scorers with 21 points, but Okoboji head coach Ryan Paulsen says his length at the top of a full court press made the night challenging. The Pioneers received eleven points from Bryson McCabe. Okoboji drops to 0-5 in the league and 1-6 overall, with a contest at Rock Valley on the schedule for Friday night.

Graettinger-Terril took the floor in the non-conference contest last night against Laurens-Marathon, and dropped a 63-33 decision to the Chargers. The Knights leading scorer was Beau Craig with a dozen points.
