In boys golf, Okoboji has pulled within a point of MOC-Floyd Valley in the conference standings with another Siouxland tour meet victory in Sioux Center. The Pioneers shot a team total of 157, besting Floyd Valley by 11 shots. Matt Baschke and Caden Thurgood of Okoboji tied for medalist honors with two-over-par 38’s. The rest of Okoboji’s scores were 42 or better.
The MOC-Floyd Valley girls dominated their Siouxland tour meet in Hull with a 182 team total. Sibley-Ocheyedan finished in fourth and Okoboji fifth. Three Pioneers, Halee Morrow, Kiley Wermersen and Hannah Jones all shot 55, with Samie Staines right behind with a 56. MOC-Floyd Valley had four players in the top six with rounds of 47 or better.
