Dalton Syverson, a senior high jumper from Okoboji High School,
took seventh place overall, at the Drake Relays over the weekend. His final jump was six-foot-five-inches.
Okoboji’s 4X800 relay team of Joe Hilsabeck, Jordan Hanna, Taylor
Cody, and Chris Albright placed ninth.
Their time was 8:04.37.
Spirit Lake’s 4x800 team of Will Norris, Mark Norland, Paul Woizeschke, and Tanner Goetsch finished thirteenth with a time of 8:11.98.
As an individual, Norris placed eighth, overall in both the
1600 and 3200 meter runs. His time in
the 1600 was 4:23.04; his time in the 3200 was 9:30.07.
Spirit Lake Park’s 4x100 team of Tyler Petersen, Austin Folsom, Cody Poock and Bryson McCabe registered a time of 44.73 in the prelims but did not qualify for the finals.
The Okoboji Girls’ 4x100 team of Jordan Duncan, Darby Jones, Hannah Grosvenor and Kim Knaatjes finished with
a time of 53.40, and also did not qualify for the finals.
