The Okoboji girls 7th grade traveling basketball team won the Pacesetter Basketball Iowa State Championship this past weekend. They defeated Sioux City North and Turkey Valley to earn the opportunity of representing the state of Iowa at the Pacesetter Great Four State Championships at the Target Center in Minneapolis. That tournament will be held in mid-July and will feature teams from Iowa, Minnesota, North Dakota and South Dakota. Okoboji, which went undefeated during its school-year season and now boasts a 26-4 record, consists of Shaelyn Adams, Megan Peschong, Kailye Hromatko, Cory Hoffman, Breanne Kopera, Brenna McCabe, Emily Wintz, Grace Goehring, Brooklyn Barnett, Mallory Miller, and Jaydn Barnett.
