Okoboji, Spirit Lake Hoops Back At It Tonight

The Okoboji Girls basketball team
will look to pick up its third straight win tonight, as the Pioneers are home
against West Lyon.  You can hear it on Q102 with coverage
starting at 6 o’clock.

 

That’ll be followed by the Okoboji
Boys, who will look to bounce back from Saturday’s loss to Spirit Lake.  Pioneers’ coach Ryan Paulsen said, after that
game, his team needs to find a way to put the ball in the basket.

Speaking of the Spirit Lake
boys, they’ll be on the road, tonight, against LeMars.  The Indians, were beaten by Spencer, 55-30,
on Friday, and beat Okoboji on Saturday. 
Their coach, Nate Loenser, says his team can make shots if his players
are in good position to take them. 

 

Loenser says offensive execution has been a focus

 

The Spirit Lake Girls will seek to
rebound from a pair of one-point losses, over the weekend, tonight against
LeMars.  The Indians fell to Spencer,
Friday in overtime, and then were knocked off by Okoboji on Saturday.

 

They played both games without
senior starters K.J. Veldman and Kendra Stokke.

Elsewhere, tonight, the Emmetsburg
girls and boys are home against Estherville-Lincoln Central, you can hear that one
