The Okoboji Boys and Girls Track
teams will be well-represented, this weekend, at the Drake Relays, in Des Moines.
The Pioneer boys 4×800 team of
Taylor Cody, Chris Albright, Joe Hilsabeck, and Jordan Hanna has not
only qualified, but had the eighth fastest qualifying time in the state,
regardless of class.
Dalton Syverson has qualified in the
High Jump. He’s got the ninth best qualifying
jump in the state.
The Pioneer girls 4×100 relay team
of Jordan Duncan, Darby Jones, Hannah Grosvenor, and Kim Naatjes has also qualified.
Will Norris will compete on behalf of
the Spirit Lake Park
boys track team, in both the 3200 and 1600 meter runs.
The boys 4×800 and 4×100 relays have
also qualified. The 4×100 team consists of
Tyler Peterson, Austin Folsom, Cody Poock and Bryson McCabe.
Norris, Mark Norland, Paul Woizeschke,
and Tanner Goetsch make up the 4×800 team.
