As a fundraiser for the Harris-Lake Park girls basketball team’s upcoming trip to the Shootout in Colorado, the Road to the Rockies 5K Run/Walk was held in Lake Park on Saturday morning. Crossing the finish line first was Bailey Heikens in a time of 24:16 to take the overall title, as well as win the female age 14-16 division. Other age division winners on the female side were Cynthia VandeHoef (58:31), Brenda Kutzbach (42:08), Linda Treharne (28:57), Danette Forbes (28:57), Katie Utesch (26:43), Jordan Heikens (26:08), Avery Heikens (36:14), and Taylor Meyer (36:10). The top male runner was Daryl Meyer with a time of 28:17. Josh Bridgeman won the only other men’s race for ages 14-16.
