The Iowa Lakes men’s basketball team reached a pair of milestones with their victory over Briar Cliff JV on Thursday. The Lakers won by a 70-40 margin, giving the program 800 wins since its inception back in 1967. The win also gave coach Troy Larson a total of 90 as the leader of the Lakers. Wendell Pelts led a balanced scoring attack with 16 points, Mark Rangeley added 14 points, Josh Schaben had a dozen, and Eric Allison finished with ten. Iowa Lakes travels to Mason City on Saturday for a 3pm tip with NIACC.
