Iowa State coach Greg McDermott is not commenting on media reports that he has been offered the basketball coaching job at Creighton. Multiple media outlets are saying that McDermott was offered the Creighton job, which opened when Oregon reportedly hired Dana Altman over the weekend. The Ducks have not confirmed that they have hired a replacement for coach Ernie Kent. McDermott declined an interview when he was approached Monday by an Associated Press reporter on the Iowa State campus. Creighton athletic director Bruce Rasmussen has not returned multiple messages seeking comment. McDermott led Northern Iowa to the NCAA tournament three straight years before leaving for Iowa State in 2006. He has never had a winning season at Iowa State and is signed through 2015.
