Okoboji’s Alex Mankle improved her score by five strokes in
round two of the Class 2A Girls State Golf Tournament in Adel. The freshman
carded an 86, finishing with a 33-over par 177 for the two day event and in tie
for seventh place overall. Elle Ament of Dyersville Beckman won the tournament
at just ten-over par. Also in Class 2A, Sheldon placed seventh as a team, 116
strokes back of Beckman’s 688 total.
