Day One of the National Junior College Athletic Association Volleyball Championships is in the books, the the #3 Iowa Lakes Lakers are still in the national title picture. The Lakers opened with a 1-1 record, taking their first match in a three-set sweep over Hagerstown (VA), 25-11, 25-14, and 25-12. ILCC would fall in their second match to #7 Kishwaukee in five sets, 22-25, 25-19, 25-21, 18-25, and 15-9.
Iowa Lakes will battle Grand Rapids at 1:30pm Friday to keep their season alive.
